Shana Pistilli, inspired by her brother, founded the Rubato School of Music in 2022 with a mission to help people of all abilities discover their musical talents. The school focuses on providing inclusive musical education and private lessons, particularly for students with disabilities. Recently, it was recognized as the winner of the 2025 Build A Music School's "Music School of the Year" Award in its category. Pistilli credits her teacher, Jodi Jianniney, for influencing her journey into music education.
