"This year, we're gonna go maybe a little bit more ambitious with some things. Last year... the fires and things like that. I was living out of a hotel so this year I'm hoping to get... we have some slightly bigger swings that we're going to take."
The iconic Oscar red carpet has been rolled out at the Dolby Theatre in preparation for the 98th Academy Awards ceremony. The carpet measures 900 feet long and 33 feet wide, serving as the walkway for nominees, stars, directors, producers, and performers before media. Host Conan O'Brien, returning for his second time, indicated the ceremony will feature more ambitious entertainment compared to last year. The carpet remains covered with plastic tarp while crews complete setup before the Sunday ceremony. The Academy Awards will air on ABC and Hulu, with pre-show coverage beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET.
