Margaret Cho revealed that Donald Trump attempted to recruit her for The Celebrity Apprentice and his 2016 presidential campaign. Despite being asked multiple times, she felt uneasy about participating. Cho did assist during a challenge on the show because of her friend Cyndi Lauper's involvement. When approached by Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen to join the campaign, she rejected the offer, citing her lifelong Democratic beliefs. Cho is a pioneering bisexual Korean American comedian known for her role in the sitcom All American Girl.
