UK Aids Memorial Quilt to be shown at Tate Modern

The Tate Modern will host the UK Aids Memorial Quilt collection, featuring 42 quilts and 23 individual panels created in memory of approximately 385 individuals who lost their lives to HIV/Aids. The exhibition is part of the larger NAMES Project, which began in the U.S. in 1985 by activist Cleve Jones. The display aims to raise awareness about the epidemic, with a live reading of the names of the deceased planned during the event from June 12 to June 16.
