New York City in summer offers vibrant experiences like street fairs, beaches, parks, and outdoor dining. Little Island is recommended for its outdoor performances and affordable tickets. Various dining options include Whitehorse Tavern, Docks Off 5th, Planet Hollywood for unique dishes, and Ellen's Stardust Diner for an entertaining breakfast. The Glade amphitheater at Little Island hosts free shows and offers incredible sunset views over the Hudson River. The Loch waterfalls in Central Park is also highlighted as a favorite spot, especially for dog owners.
My favorite place in New York in the summer is Little Island. They're one of the few performance spaces in NYC actually doing the work to create affordable tickets and it's all outdoors. They curate such a great collection of stellar musicians and new shows; I always leave inspired and thankful to live in NYC.
Let's chat food in NYC. I love going to Whitehorse Tavern for drinks. And if you want a cool atmosphere, Docks Off 5th is a staple. If you want the only place that has Captain Crunch chicken tenders, you have to go to Planet Hollywood. And if you want the best breakfast (with awesome singing waiters), Ellen's Stardust Diner is your spot!
My summer in New York isn't complete unless I make at least one trip to Little Island! Their roster of shows is packed with amazing artists and all of their shows in The Glade amphitheatre are free. You can also catch the most spectacular view of the sunset on the Hudson River! It's truly a magical place! And this year, it is really special to me because I get to produce my very first concert there (Ladies of Jazz premiers July 27th)!
My dog Stewie has a favorite summer spot, so it automatically becomes my favorite spot as well, or I will have no peace. The Loch waterfalls in Central Park is one of those magical spots.
