In the early days, we used to get f- up quite a lot and that f- up the shows. We used to play a really good one, celebrate how great it was, and then the next one would be terrible because we celebrated too much. This experience helped New Order deliver a performance at Cruel World that seemed seamless and cohesive, highlighted by their infectious energy and crowd engagement.
As the overcast turned into a hard drizzle during the festival, the vibe felt reminiscent of England's famed Glastonbury Festival, with Gen X fans enjoying an array of performances from iconic bands that shaped the postpunk, new wave, and alternative music scenes.
New Orderâs performance at Cruel World illustrated their newfound cohesion and commitment, with the crowd erupting during hits like 'Age of Consent.' Even in muddy conditions, they successfully engaged and excited festival-goers.
