The Black Keys are set to reclaim their passion for music and touring in 2025 after a tumultuous 2024, marked by a poorly performing album and a canceled arena tour. Their upcoming album, 'No Rain, No Flowers,' symbolizes their growth from these challenges. Members Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney reflect on their early friendship and career development, highlighting their underdog mentality and commitment to sustainable touring. The band recognizes the importance of adapting to their fans’ needs while staying true to their musical roots.
This is an opportunity for us to get out of the pressure cooker of a way of touring that we realized was unsustainable and was not ideal for the fans or enjoyable for us.
We like being an underdog. We want to continue making music that resonates with us and our fans.
We’d never gone to a party together or socialized much and then we found ourselves in a van driving to shows so our friendship had a big learning curve.
After facing setbacks, we are excited to embrace our journey anew with 'No Rain, No Flowers'.
