The Chicks are preparing a 20th anniversary North American tour of Taking the Long Way in the fall. The trio will begin the run on September 30 at Detroit’s Fox Theatre and continue through November across major theaters and concert venues. Dates include multiple stops in Chicago, Washington, New York, Nashville, San Antonio, Austin, Seattle, San Francisco, and Hollywood. Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire, and Emily Strayer have toured intermittently since returning in 2020 after a 13-year hiatus. They released the comeback album Gaslighter in 2020 and later dropped “Dixie” from their name.
