
Royer Perez-Jimenez, a 19-year-old, was found unresponsive at Glades County Detention Center in Florida, where he was detained by ICE. His death is presumed a suicide, but the cause remains under investigation. This incident marks at least the 49th death in ICE detention since January 2025. Perez-Jimenez was arrested after a traffic violation for allegedly crossing traffic lanes without using a crosswalk and providing false names to officers.
