Family of boy hit by bus in Jamaica Plain sues BPS bus contractor
Briefly

The family of an autistic student is suing Transdev, Boston Public Schools' bus operator, for over $20 million following an incident where the student and a school aide were struck by a school bus. The lawsuit accuses Transdev of gross negligence for failing to train staff properly and containing systemic safety failures. The driver, Vitnoy Laguerre, allegedly misrepresented the circumstances of the accident. Laguerre stated a few days after the crash that it "occurred because of a mechanical issue (steering)," the attached police report read.
