Autism destroys families; and, more importantly, it destroys our greatest resource, which is our children. These are children who should not be suffering like this.
Many of them will never pay taxes, they'll never hold a job, they'll never play baseball, they'll never write a poem, they'll never go out on a date.
Kennedy's suggestion that this is not the case, unsurprisingly, was met with a great deal of outrage. This is disrespectful and a flat out lie that further stigmatizes those on the spectrum.
He claimed he would eliminate the disorder within months while lashing out at mainstream media for its epidemic denial, insisting that increased cases of autism are not merely due to better reporting.
