Noura, a 26-year-old Palestinian woman, faced immense struggles after becoming pregnant following IVF treatment, celebrating her joy on the positive test. However, a military campaign in Gaza forced her family to evacuate repeatedly, affecting her health and accessibility to necessary medical care for her pregnancy. Tragically, she experienced a miscarriage after suffering from severe hemorrhaging when they could not reach a hospital. Alongside the loss of her twins, they also lost their stored embryos, underscoring the dire consequences of the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
"We used to walk for long hours and move constantly from one place to another, amid terrifying random bombings," says Mohamed.
"Everything was gone in a minute," says Noura, reflecting on their disastrous loss of the twins and the frozen embryos.
