Mom suffers horrific allergic reaction to moldy home so damp mushrooms grew on the furniture
Briefly

Joanna Hayes and her daughter experienced severe allergic reactions due to living in a mold-infested apartment. After moving in last June, they suffered painful rashes and blisters. The apartment was filled with black mold and even mushrooms growing on furniture. Hayes had to be hospitalized after anaphylactic shock, and her daughter faced respiratory issues. They have resorted to sleeping in their car and are now demanding action from Community Housing to address the dangerous living conditions or provide a new home.
At one stage, Hayes was taken to hospital after her lips swelled up to twice their normal size after she went into anaphylactic shock.
Hayes is now demanding Community Housing, which owns the flat, to get rid of the mold or find her a new home.
