A tragic incident occurred in Queens, NY, where a 1-month-old baby girl was killed by the family's puppy, a German shepherd-pit bull mix. The incident took place early Tuesday morning as her mother and stepdad slept in their apartment. Upon awakening, they discovered the dog gnawing on the baby’s face. Emergency services were called, but they could not save the newborn. A friend of the mother expressed disbelief over how the parents could not hear the baby cry while laying next to her.
