Cuomo mayoral campaign blames aide's lazy editing - not ChatGPT - for typo-ridden housing plan: 'Bbjectively'
Briefly

Andrew Cuomo's mayoral campaign is addressing criticism over a housing plan reportedly assisted by ChatGPT, which was riddled with typos and grammatical issues. Campaign spokesman Rich Azzopardi attributed these errors to the carelessness of an aide's editing, despite acknowledging that ChatGPT was used for research. The campaign insists the problems were human errors rather than a result of AI misuse. Cuomo's plan aims to leverage his previous experience in housing but risks being overshadowed by the errors in the document, marking a challenging start to his candidacy in the Democratic primary race.
The typos and syntax issues were due to a mumblemouthed campaign staffer using voice dictation, with the spokesperson admitting, 'It could have been proofread better.'
Cuomo campaign spokesman Rich Azzopardi stated, 'We are talking about a grammatically incorrect paragraph on page 28 of a 29 page paper that was missed on proofreading and that has since been remedied.'
Cuomo's housing plan aimed to showcase his experience from his time as Housing and Urban Development secretary, but the slipshod writing risked overshadowing the document's intent.
Azzopardi dismissed the accusations as a distraction, arguing that 'Candidates attempting to seize on this to distract from their lack of credentials, vision and electoral support are transparent and sad.'
