Frustration towards Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has escalated among constituents in Queens and the Bronx. Many feel neglected as her congressional operations lack accessibility and responsiveness. With offices open sporadically and infrequent town hall meetings, constituents report that pressing local issues are being sidelined for her national campaigns. Critics allege she's more focused on personal visibility and ambitions than addressing the key concerns of the community. A recent town hall event highlighted this disconnection, as AOC hurriedly exited after minimal engagement, further fueling discontent among her supporters.
"This woman has done nothing for the community she was once again elected to serve," said Lauro Vazquez of Woodside, Queens.
"It's hard to find a private plane - it's Easter weekend," mocked Jackson Heights resident Tatiana Lacatus of the cancelled event.
"Of course, it's cancelled - too busy jet setting around on private jets screaming about 'oligarchs' and setting up her bid for a POTUS run," said Vazquez.
AOC's town halls used to be monthly events - now are only held once in a blue moon, with virtually no way to ask questions.
