One-stop-shop for social service programs to open in Brooklyn transit hub
Briefly

Mayor Eric Adams announced the opening of a new commercial building in East New York that will serve as a centralized hub for various social services provided by the Human Resources Administration (HRA). Located at 2440 Fulton St. within Brooklyn's Broadway Junction transit hub, the 400,000-square-foot facility will house numerous programs, including those for Adult Protective Services, Medicaid, and Cash Assistance. This initiative is part of a broader $300 million investment aimed at revitalizing the area and improving service access for local residents, particularly from East New York and adjacent communities.
This is part of more than $300 million in investments made in the Broadway Junction area and surrounding communities that deliver on the vision I first contributed to in 2017.
The 400,000-square-foot building aims to make it easier for New Yorkers to apply for and access these services in person by consolidating programs that were previously located at different sites.
