Larry Silverstein's Silverstein Properties is enhancing its bid for a casino in Manhattan's Far West Side by partnering with Rush Street Gaming, a notable operator in the New York gaming sector. The proposed project, called Avenir, is set to include a casino and a 46-story mixed-use complex on vacant land at 11th Avenue and 41st Street. This collaboration with Greenwood Gaming aims to create an entertainment venue that will contribute jobs, tax revenue, and affordable housing, showcasing a commitment to community development. Bids for casino licenses are due by June 27.
We are excited to announce our partnership with Rush Street Gaming, as well as Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment to create a home-grown entertainment complex on Manhattan's Far West Side.
Each of our organizations is family-owned, multi-generational, and deeply committed to the neighborhoods in which we work and live.
We greatly admire what Silverstein Properties has accomplished in terms of developing important projects in New York City.
The Avenir project site is located on 92,000 square feet of vacant space just north of the Jacob Javits Convention Center that is fully owned and controlled by Silverstein.
