Homeless arsonist sets Tesla Cybertruck on fire with Molotov cocktails on upscale NYC block
Briefly

In a disturbing incident in Manhattan, a homeless man named Dwain Burr set a Tesla Cybertruck ablaze using Molotov cocktails. The attack occurred early Monday morning, with Burr reportedly dumping garbage on the vehicle before igniting it. Luckily, a good Samaritan extinguished the flames, and no injuries were reported. Burr was apprehended nearby and faces several charges, including arson. This incident adds to a troubling pattern of violence directed towards Tesla owners, coinciding with heightened scrutiny of CEO Elon Musk’s actions in government.
Last month, Natasha Cohen, 46, was slapped with a hate crime and aggravated harassment charge after she left a brick scrawled with a swastika on top of a parked Tesla.
Burr, 40, first dumped garbage on the hood of the electric vehicle parked on East 58th Street near Second Avenue around 1:15 a.m.
