Jersey Mike's Appoints New CEO After $8 Billion Acquisition | Entrepreneur
Briefly

Jersey Mike's has appointed Charlie Morrison as its new CEO, effective April 28, succeeding founder Peter Cancro, who remains chairman. Morrison is a franchise veteran with over 30 years of experience, including a significant tenure at Wingstop where he expanded its reach globally. His appointment coincides with Jersey Mike's rapid growth; the company recently ranked #2 on Entrepreneur's Franchise 500 and aims for further domestic and international expansion. The brand, recently acquired by Blackstone for $8 billion, plans to introduce over 300 new locations in Canada next year.
"In Charlie, we have found the ideal next CEO for Jersey Mike's, and I look forward to him propelling our business even further," Cancro said.
"Morrison brings more than 30 years of experience in the restaurant franchise industry, most notably as CEO of Wingstop from 2012 to 2022."
