Ja Morant returned to start Monday's game against the Detroit Pistons after serving a one-game suspension for conduct detrimental to the team. The suspension stemmed from actions in Memphis' loss to the Los Angeles Lakers and was served during Sunday's loss at Toronto. Coach Tuomas Iisalo called the situation "an internal matter," said the team had a discussion, and expressed a focus on moving forward. Iisalo is in his first full season after taking over late last year. Morant declined to speak with reporters before the game, had only eight points in the Lakers loss, appeared disengaged, settled for jumpers, and attempted nearly as many three-pointers as shots in the lane. He averages 20.8 points and 6.7 assists.
