Brock Purdy delivered a masterful performance, completing 25 of 34 passes for 295 yards and five touchdowns in a 48-27 road victory over the Indianapolis Colts. The performance marked the first time a 49ers quarterback achieved five TDs on a Monday night and the first regular-season occurrence since Joe Montana in 1990. Philip Rivers played well and provided some momentum for the Colts, but Purdy dominated with pinpoint accuracy. Purdy played despite a head cold and made mostly correct decisions, producing only two questionable throws, one nit-pick and one late overthrow that was intercepted.
