Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson's situation became precarious after Daniel Jones was named the starter. His agent, Deiric Jackson, expressed disappointment and raised doubts about Richardson's future with the team. Though Jackson stopped short of demanding a trade, he indicated that the Colts' trustworthiness had been compromised. Richardson's previous benching and the decision to start Jones raised questions regarding his development and credibility within the organization. Despite the setback, Richardson stated he harbored no hard feelings about the coach's decision and respected it.
We have a lot to discuss with the Colts. Trust is a big factor and that is, at best, questionable, right now. Anthony came back and made the improvements in the areas he needed to improve. And by all accounts, he had a great camp.
Earlier Tuesday, Richardson said there were 'no hard feelings' after Steichen's decision. [Steichen] made a decision I respect, but that doesn't change what I want to do.
