Bad Bunny reveals 49ers fandom after Super Bowl halftime show
"Bad Bunny said his uncle taught him 'the little I know about the NFL' and that his uncle used to watch games with him during his uncle's annual visits back to Puerto Rico, which happened to be during the NFL playoffs. The musician added that his uncle was a 'huge fan of the San Francisco 49ers' and said he dedicated his halftime show to his uncle."
""I always dreamed of taking my uncle to a Super Bowl and I couldn't. He left unexpectedly, without warning. So during my Super Bowl halftime show, I decided to have him on my shirt: OCASIO, his last name, the same as my mother's, and his birth year, 64. "I dedicated my performance to him before it began. I'm sure he saw it, he was present, and he felt proud of his nephew. Now all that's left is the day the 49ers win another Super Bowl.""
Bad Bunny expressed support for the San Francisco 49ers and honored his late uncle Cutito by wearing OCASIO with the number 64 on his Super Bowl halftime outfit. His uncle, born in 1964, taught him much of what he knows about the NFL and watched games with him during annual visits to Puerto Rico that often coincided with the NFL playoffs. The uncle was a devoted 49ers fan and passed away two years ago shortly after the 49ers lost to Kansas City in the 2024 Super Bowl. Bad Bunny dedicated his performance to the uncle and previously appeared at Super Bowl LIV in 2020 as a guest performer.
