The Green Bay Packers signed head coach Matt LaFleur and general manager Brian Gutekunst to multi-year contract extensions, retaining the current football operations leadership. Executive vice president/director of football operations Russ Ball also received a long-term extension. The team suffered back-to-back Wild Card Round playoff exits, including a loss to the Chicago Bears after leading 21-3 at halftime and later possessing the ball at the Bears' 21-yard line with three minutes remaining before allowing a late game-winning touchdown. LaFleur holds a 76-40-1 regular-season record (65.4% winning percentage) and has reached the playoffs in all but one of his seven seasons. Gutekunst was hired in 2018 and appointed LaFleur in 2019. Leadership remains aligned in purpose and plans to move forward.
