Omar Brown, a safety for the Green Bay Packers, left the preseason game against the Colts with a chest contusion and is being monitored overnight. Coach Matt LaFleur expressed concern about Brown's condition after the game. Brown played 19 snaps on defense and 10 on special teams prior to the injury and is competing for a spot on the 53-man roster. The Packers also reported injuries to rookie defensive lineman Barryn Sorrell and running back MarShawn Lloyd during the same game, raising concerns for the team's depth ahead of the season.
"It's kind of a scary deal," LaFleur said after the Packers' 23-19 win.
Brown, a first-year safety who has been highly productive in training camp, left the field wearing an oxygen mask and holding his midsection.
