"let the week play out [and] make a decision later"
Shedeur Sanders began training camp as the Browns' No. 4 quarterback and spent the first five games as the inactive emergency QB. Sanders reports being in a strong mental space and says he is encouraged by a "light at the end of the tunnel," expressing gratitude for whatever role he fills. The Browns traded Joe Flacco to the Bengals, leaving rookie Dillon Gabriel and Sanders as the only active quarterbacks on the roster. Head coach Kevin Stefanski has been noncommittal and said he will let the week play out before naming a backup.
