The Southeastern Conference suspended longtime referee Ken Williamson for the remainder of the season after his crew's performance in Georgia's 20-10 victory at Auburn on Oct. 11. Williamson was the crew chief and had informed SEC officials before the season that he planned to retire after the year. The SEC declined comment and Williamson did not respond to a text message. Two controversial calls shaped the game: a ruling that Auburn quarterback Jackson Arnold fumbled before the goal line after Georgia linebacker Raylen Wilson knocked the ball loose and a targeting situation involving Auburn cornerback Kayin Lee that led to a review and ejection.
