"Wow! Tom Wilson screams in the Capitals social media video. "Oh, it has a pulled tooth. What a lettuce, though." "Lettuce is unbelievable," replies Ovechkin, impressed by the slightly unrealistic poof of hair on the floss holder's head. " Great lettuce!" Wilson counters."
Multiple Ovechkin-themed giveaways will be distributed during the Capitals' winter home schedule, including an Ovi-Wan-Kenobi bobblehead (Feb. 5), a tropical mug (Jan. 31), and a floss holder handed out Jan. 7. The staff arranged a meeting between Ovechkin and the floss holder at the team's practice facility, where Ovechkin and teammate Tom Wilson inspected its design. Wilson reacted to a pulled-tooth detail and both praised the floss holder's exaggerated hair, calling it "lettuce." Ovechkin jokingly called the toy "Sexy man" and joined Wilson singing "Sexy and I Know It." The floss holder includes floss that protrudes from the representation of Ovechkin's missing tooth.
