He was 50-50-13 with a 2.92 goals-against average, .905 save percentage and five shutouts in 130 regular-season games (106 starts) and had a 3.08 GAA and .891 save percentage in four Stanley Cup Playoff games. Dell last played in the League for the Sharks when he made 25 saves in a 3-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins at SAP Center on Feb. 14, 2023."
Aaron Dell announced his retirement after 13 seasons of professional hockey at age 36. The undrafted goaltender played seven NHL seasons with the San Jose Sharks, New Jersey Devils and Buffalo Sabres, appearing in 130 regular-season games with a 50-50-13 record, 2.92 GAA, .905 save percentage and five shutouts. He posted a 3.08 GAA and .891 save percentage in four playoff games. Dell last played in the NHL for San Jose on Feb. 14, 2023, then spent time in the AHL and ECHL, including 10 AHL games for San Jose last season. He starred at the University of North Dakota, leading the NCAA in wins and GAA as a sophomore and earning WCHA tournament MVP honors before signing with San Jose on March 4, 2015.
