It was a miserable finish to the season, but the Canadiens were only getting started."

Hughes also acquired forward Zach Bolduc from St. Louis and signed center Joe Veleno in free agency. Dobson, Bolduc and Veleno add offensive ability, improve special teams, and create opportunities for the Canadiens to grow under coach Martin St. Louis.
