""Yeah, it's great," Perreault said. "I mean, Ryan's one of my best friends, so seeing him, and to spend a little bit more time with him is always fun.""
""We had so many good experiences, I think, from freshman year to sophomore year," Perreault said. "We spent so much time together, and I was really grateful to play with him. Built that relationship on and off the ice. It was awesome.""
The 2025 NHLPA Rookie Showcase gathered top prospects at MedStar Capitals Iceplex. Ryan Leonard of the Washington Capitals and Gabe Perreault of the New York Rangers reunited as close friends and former Boston College linemates, moving through activity stations and Upper Deck trading-card photo sessions. The duo combined for 217 points (96 goals, 121 assists) in 151 games over two seasons, helped Boston College reach the 2024 national championship game and finish atop Hockey East both years, and won gold with USA at the 2023 U18 and 2024 and 2025 U20 World Juniors. Both signed entry-level contracts and made NHL debuts following their sophomore seasons.
