At 6'5" and 315 pounds, he had a stellar college career, starting 50 games and winning several prestigious awards, including the Outland Trophy. Banks has some concerns regarding his tackle length but is seen as a potential Day 1 starter. The Patriots, who have a primary need at tackle, have engaged with multiple prospects in preparation for the draft, including Banks, who is ranked 17th overall on consensus boards.
The window for NFL teams to host prospects on pre-draft visits closed last week, but there are still name trickling out.
Banks Jr. is among three of them who have visited Gillette Stadium. The others are Will Campbell out of LSU and Aireontae Ersery out of Minnesota.
