The Art Show, organized by the Art Dealers Association of America, has been called off for 2023, labeled a "strategic pause". A spokesperson clarified that this decision is not due to financial issues or lack of exhibitor interest. The ADAA intends to reassess its fair model and will contact all exhibitors regarding refunds. The fair is expected to resume in 2026 to better support the arts community. Meanwhile, donations to Henry Street Settlement will be redirected to an online campaign, reflecting a long-standing fundraising partnership.
"This is a pause, not a cancellation of the fair," a spokesperson for the ADAA told The Art Newspaper. "This decision was not a response to financial pressure, nor was it a reflection of exhibitor interest - our members remain deeply engaged and committed."
The fair will reconvene in 2026, organisers told members in their email, adding the pause "allows us to evaluate how best to support our members, partners and the broader arts community in an evolving cultural and market landscape."
