Brooklyn boy, 11, remains in critical condition after hit-run; driver on loose
"Residents near a Brooklyn street where an 11-year-old boy was struck by a hit-and-run driver said they want the heartless motorist captured and put in jail. Cops have yet to catch up with the driver of a black Acura that struck a boy on a standup electric scooter Monday afternoon in Gravesend and kept going, officials said. The crash also injured a 25-year-old man who was struck by debris from the collision, police said. The boy remained in critical condition Tuesday, officials said."
""I hope that they catch this guy," said an outraged neighbor, who has lived near the crash site for 30 years. "And we're all praying for this little boy that he's going to get better." Cops said the boy was near Avenue V and Ocean Parkway just before 6 p.m. on Monday when he was mowed down by a sedan traveling north on the parkway approaching the intersection at Avenue V. EMS transported both victims to Maimonides Medical Center."
