Conway built a career in commercial litigation at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and co-founded the anti‑Trump Lincoln Project. He publicly opposed Donald Trump during the presidency despite prior support and a marriage to Trump aide Kellyanne Conway. Conway registered as a Democrat for this run and timed his launch to the fifth anniversary of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. He says he intends to be a short‑term, focused legislator who helps combat Trumpism and support impeachment leaders like Jamie Raskin.
