Man arrested after attempting to kidnap 6-year-old in Coney Island: Police

A man attempted to snatch a 6-year-old boy from the sidewalk in Coney Island while the child was with his parents. The boy's father, Roy Gantt, witnessed the abduction and chased the suspect, who fled with the child. When cornered, the suspect threw the boy to the ground. Fortunately, the boy was not seriously injured and was later released from the hospital. The suspect, identified as Jonathan Robalino, 36, was arrested and charged with attempted kidnapping and assault. The investigation is ongoing.

The boy was thrown to the ground by his abductor, and even though he fell, he thankfully sustained no serious injuries.
