At least 56 demonstrators were taken into custody after sitting in front of a "not another bomb" banner to protest in support of Palestine and against Israel's military action in Gaza. The event began around 3:30 p.m. at Brooklyn Borough Hall with participants taking part in the Yizkor memorial prayer. Keffiyeh-wearing protesters clapped and sang in Hebrew as NYPD officers issued audio warnings and moved in; many protesters did not resist while being cuffed and continued to sing.
