NYC To Mourn 'Dedicated' Fallen Firefighter Patrick Brady At Funeral And Wake
"Brady, a 42-year-old married FDNY veteran who died in the line of duty Saturday after suffering a heart attack while battling a rooftop blaze on a six-story Kings Highway apartment building near E. 94th Street in Brownsville, will be honored at a wake in Brooklyn on Friday. The wake will take place at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, with visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., the FDNY said."
"Brady, an 11-year veteran of the FDNY, went into cardiac arrest while battling flames on the roof of the six-story Kings Highway apartment building, the department said. Fellow firefighters and FDNY medics worked desperately to save him before rushing him to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Brady, a Belle Harbor resident in the Rockaways, joined the FDNY in July 2014 and had most recently been assigned to Ladder 120 in Brownsville since 2022."

Visitation is scheduled Friday at Marine Park Funeral Home in Brooklyn, with a funeral mass Saturday at the Church of St. Francis de Sales in Queens and burial to follow; the funeral will be livestreamed on the FDNY website. Brady joined the FDNY in July 2014, served with Ladder 120 since 2022, and came from a family of firefighters.
