NYPD looking for person who shot Jets player Kris Boyd outside Midtown restaurant
"Police on Monday released new photos and details about a man they suspect shot an NFL player in Midtown Manhattan early Sunday, asking the public to help look for him. NYPD officials said the gunman who seriously injured New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd, 29, was last seen wearing a black cap, black sweatshirt, black pants, multicolored sneakers and a black backpack. They said the shooting stemmed from a dispute but were still investigating what it was about and whether Boyd and the alleged shooter knew each other."
"Officers responded to the shooting around 2 a.m. outside an Asian fusion restaurant on West 38th Street near Seventh Avenue, according to police. The Jets confirmed the victim was Boyd but declined further comment. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition and is now stable, officials said. Boyd signed with the Jets in March and has been on the team's injured reserve list since getting a shoulder injury during practice in August."
