The incident also suspended service on the G line south of the Bedford-Nostrand station. The train hit the debris somewhere near the Jay St. - Metrotech station in Downtown Brooklyn around 9:30 a.m., sources told the Daily News."
"A passenger took to X Tuesday morning, claiming to have been on the train when the 600V arc of electricity occurred. "I was on this train that sh-t blew up," the user posted. Firefighters with the FDNY responded to reports of smoke and loud noises at the station. An FDNY spokesman told The News that units were able to put out a small garbage fire. Sources told The News that the train was able to continue on to the Bergen Street station."
