""A minor thing," Nabers said Wednesday of the back problem."
"One source described the problem at the time as little more than "normal camp tightness.""
""Yeah, I feel like I'm always ready," Nabers said. "When it's game time and those lights are on, I believe my body's going to turn it on. It's going to be ready.""
Malik Nabers missed the final two preseason games and 12 days earlier in camp because of a back issue that he and team sources describe as minor. Nabers returned to practice last Monday but was held out of the preseason finale as a precaution while starters sat out. The problem was characterized as normal camp tightness. Nabers also missed spring work with a toe injury and left a practice after a shoulder hit, but he entered summer in mostly full capacity. The Giants rely on him as their No. 1 receiver after a 1,204-yard season with 109 catches.
