The Florida Panthers completed a 4-2 comeback victory over the Carolina Hurricanes in Raleigh, earning their first preseason win after two losses in Nashville. Daniil Tarasov recorded 47 saves on 49 shots while Brett Chorske, Ben Huard, Mike Benning and Jack Studnicka provided the goals. The Hurricanes subsequently lost to Tampa Bay and beat Nashville twice since facing Florida. The Panthers are expected to ice some NHL regulars for the first time this preseason in their upcoming home game at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise. Projected goalies include Sergei Bobrovsky and Cooper Black for Florida and Frederik Andersen and Nikita Quapp for Carolina.
