
Lawrence Shankland has transferred from Heart of Midlothian to Rangers, agreeing a two-year contract at Ibrox with an option for a further 12 months. The 30-year-old striker scored 88 goals in 171 appearances across four campaigns for Hearts and captained the club to second place this season, finishing eight points behind Celtic and ahead of Rangers, who ended third. Shankland had been out of contract last summer before signing a three-year deal in late June. He scored 20 goals in 34 matches across all competitions, including four goals against Rangers, while Hearts pursued a first title since 1960. He has four goals in 18 Scotland appearances and is included in the World Cup squad.
