Anthony DeSclafani's road back brings him to RailRiders
Briefly

Anthony DeSclafani is making a comeback with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders after recovering from surgery for a right elbow flexor tendon injury. In his first start on May 17, he showed promising form by allowing only one run over four innings, striking out five batters. This latest stint marks his first competitive play since July 2023. With a career spanning nine MLB seasons and notable highs like a grand slam and pitching in the postseason, he's eager to move forward and contribute without health concerns lingering over him.
"I'm super excited to be fully healthy, put the elbow in the past, and continue to focus on pitching as opposed to health, DeSclafani said.
"I didn't realize it at the time how special it was, but looking back at it, that was a really special team, DeSclafani said.
