Chicago White Sox Pitcher Designated For Assignment
Briefly

The Chicago White Sox announced the designation of pitcher Yoendrys Gómez for assignment, following their signing of Adrian Houser. Gómez, who previously had brief spells with the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees, struggled in his appearances, allowing three earned runs in one inning against the Cubs after making two scoreless outings against the Reds and Mariners. His MLB debut came earlier this season, after joining the Yankees in 2016 as an international free agent from Venezuela, but was unable to maintain consistent performance.
Gómez, who was designated for assignment by the White Sox, made only three appearances, struggling after a brief stint with the Dodgers and Yankees.
After being claimed off waivers, Yoendrys Gómez had a lackluster performance with the White Sox, allowing three earned runs in just one inning of work.
