Elon Musk's tenure at the helm of the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) is criticized for failing to enhance public services. Experts, including Donald Moynihan and Martha Gimbel, expressed that the department has not made substantive improvements and is accused of exacerbating issues instead. Although Musk claims Doge achieved $150 billion in savings, many budget analysts dispute this figure, suggesting it is inflated. Critics argue that the focus was more on cutting costs rather than fostering genuine improvements in government operations, highlighting a lack of strategic investment in service enhancement.
There doesn't seem to be an approach to dig in on places where government services could really be improved.
Musk evidently has little interest in making services better. They were the department of government slash and burn.
