ecoLogicStudio reimagines domesticity through microbial architectural installation
Briefly

DeepForest³ is a pioneering project developed by ecoLogicStudio and the University of Innsbruck, showcased at the 24th La Triennale di Milano. This installation presents a pioneering vision of domestic spaces by introducing an integrated microbial ecosystem, where architecture interacts with biological processes. Featuring components like Photosynthesizers, Biodegraders, and Carbon storers, the installation captures CO₂, utilizes urban waste, and enhances aesthetics using reclaimed materials, establishing a functional biotic infrastructure. The project highlights the intersection of digital fabrication and ecological design, aligning architecture with Italy's rich history of landscape engineering.
DeepForest³ proposes a microbial architectural installation that marries biotechnology with design, creating a domestic ecosystem that enhances environmental relationships.
The installation transforms byproducts of decay into architectural beauty, redefining the aesthetic value of waste through its integration with living systems.
