Healthy Goodbyes
Briefly

The author reflects on his father's resourcefulness and nurturing presence, which shaped his upbringing during the Great Depression. Although he initially believed his father would live forever, his eventual death forced the author to confront grief. He embraces memories as a way to maintain a connection with his father, creating a 'museum' of recollections to preserve their moments together. This practice not only honors his father's legacy but also allows the author to process their relationship's complexities and learn from past experiences.
