I'm Trying to Raise My Son to Be Polite. What My Ex is Teaching Him Makes Me Nervous to Send Him to Kindergaten.
Briefly

An ex-partner's influence can result in children developing inappropriate language habits. One parent struggles as their son, Connor, has been ejected from multiple day care centers due to his use of profanity. Attempts to address the issue with the ex-partner have been dismissed. Raising concerns about language could potentially lead to legal action but may also complicate this parental dynamic. Instead, focusing on teaching Connor that inappropriate language is not acceptable outside the home is emphasized.
You know what they say-if you're ejected from one day care, you met a sensitive daycare director. But if you're ejected from four day cares, well, maybe you're the ... uh, person who is not using their nice words, let's say, in case Connor is listening.
Your ex and his family sound like they're lost causes unless the daycare problem could be raised within the context of a legal custody case.
It's probably not in your long-term interest to set this-or anything else-up in Connor's mind as a 'mom wants X and dad wants Y' issue.
My advice instead would be to bite off the piece of it that you can chew, as it were, which is teaching Connor that bad language is not acceptable outside the home.
